Learner Profile (Welsh): Horse Care NVQ 1

The course is provided in stables in the Wrexham Area.  The award covers the basic skills for working with horses under supervision, perhaps as an assistant yard person, providing a good grounding in horse care.  There will be some time spent riding, but the majority of the course will focus on the care of the horse, maintenance of equipment and the working environment.  The assessment takes place through a portfolio of evidence developed over the duration of the course.

The units chosen will enable the students to gain a broad practical and theoretical understanding of Performing Arts, covering musical theatre, drama and working in a recording studio. The EdExcel First Certificate in Retail provides a broad educational base for further training, further education and employment within the Retail sector. The units chosen will include a study of the Retail industry and the opportunity to develop customer service and retail experience. Further units will be chosen from areas such as Distribution and storage, Stock Control, Fashion retail. Practical experience will be provided in the recently develop College retail shop and their will be links with local employers. The assessment will be based on assignments completed in class.
